Default calculating ksp

4a) the solubility of Ag2CO3 is 3.5 x 10^-2g/L at 298K. calculate the value of Ksp for Ag2CO3 at 298K

Default

Ag2CO3 <-------> 2Ag+ + CO3-2

Ksp = [Ag+]2[CO3-2]

Solubility must be in mol/L.

Molar mass of Ag2CO3 = 275.74 g/mol

Molarity = (3.5 x 10-2 g/L)(1 mol Ag2CO3/275.74 g) = 1.27 x 10-4 mol/L

Ksp = [2(1.27x10-4)]2[1.27x10-4] = 8.19x10-12
