naming componds and lots of stuff with compounds.....HELP!!!

hi ok so im kinda having a little or maybe a lot of trouble naming compounds like......
potassium nitrite........... into those letter and numbers and any other one is just dont get it....
or changing LiClO4 ........... into a name
and i dont no how to categorize them into like binary ionic or ternary oxide or wtvr other ones there r so if anyone nos how and would somehow be able to explain any of this to me or nos a good website to teach u how to do this please let me no thanx a ton in advance i really appreciate it!! [/b]

Find a good list of ions and memorize their names. That will help you tremendously.
