Default Stochiometry

1)Calculate the amount of metal ions, in mol, in 5g of
a) Sodium carbonate
b) hydrated nickel sulfate

2) Gypsum is hydrated clacium sulfate (CaSO4.xH2O). A residue of 5.65g of anhydrous calcium sulfate is obtained by heating 7.15g of gypsum. Determine the empirical formula of gypsum.

Please show working.
