Titrations in real life

Can anyone give me any ideas for what titrations are used for in real life, aside from measuring the pH of acid rain? Any suggestion, however ridiculous, is appreciated!

I doubt anybody will check pH of acid rain using titration - pH meter will be much better.

A friend of mine routinely checks concentration of active compounds in the bath used for preparation of surface of iron elements before they are painted. I don't know further details, but I know he uses some titrimetric method.

besides what borek had said, mostly titrations are applied in industrial lab work. They check for the concentration of a solution, or the purity of a solution...

Well, that's all I can think of.
