hi
i have my chem exam today and there is one question. Predict the color of copper(II) chormate in aqueous solution. I know that copper(II) is blue and chromate is yellow ( given in the question) but what color is that compound? Hope that you can help me with this and if possible, can you explain how you get that answer( i mean how to predict). thanks a lot miracle |

My prediction: solution will be clear. Copper chromate doesn't seem like something soluble.

copper II ions are blue in aqueous solution
chromate VI ions are yellow blue superimposed over yellow gives green |
