What is the difference between the two? Also, what is the equation to show the relationship so i can have a better understanding of it?

pH (short for potential for hydrogen ion concentration) is a measure of the acidity or basicity of a solution. pOH is sometimes used as a measure of the concentration of hydroxide ions, OH−, or alkalinity. pOH is not measured independently, but is derived from pH.
pH = -log10[H+] pOH = -log10[OH-] or; pOH = pKW − pH[/B] so at room temperature pOH ≈ 14 − pH. |
