Default periodic table of elements

suppose that you don't know the atomic number of the atoms in the periodic table, how do you arrange the elements in the periodic table? What will be your basis and how do you explain it?

Without scientific info I'd use alphabetical order.

Did you memorize it by periods or groups or both?

You learned it by periods then.

It's good to learn it by groups too (I learned both) because of the similarities between the elements in each group.

I've never thought of memorizing the whole periodic table. It sounds like hard work.
