Dear People,
I am a new member and would like to ask if anyone of you would know a proper definition of electric Dipole polarization? Please help. I had search the web but without results.

Hmm... never heard of that. Are you referring to:
permenant dipole-dipole attraction and temporary dipole-induced dipole attraction?? |

i found out already.I think it is called electric dipole polarizability.thanks anyway because i search on topic polarizability. thanks for your support

Dipole polarization or polarizability is the ability of a molecule with a dipole moment to align itself with an electric field.
Remember, light consists of oscillating magnetic and electric fields at a 90 degree angle to each other. So for molecules with a dipole moment, when exposed to light of the correct frequency, they will try to align themselves with the electric field in the light.
