Default Question about solvents please help

I want to dissolve the sticky plant resin. I tried with acetone, didnt work.Then I added dichloromethane, didn't work. Then I added again ethyl acohol. The resin was insoluble and then coaggulate. what happend? Is it possible that all three kind of solvents have reaction.

try dissolving it in alcoholic potassium hydroxide !!!!!

....you can use N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone or gamma-butyrolactone....
