Default W/W%?

Okay so...this is kind of silly but I want to make sure

So I have 5.0g of a powdered carrot sample. I add 0.7g of ethanol and mix it around.

I add 5.0 and 0.7 to get 5.7g and then I go 0.7g/5.7g right? So I can say that it's a 12.3% w/w ethanol-carrot powder sample?

Assuming that no ethanol has evaporated from your sample, you will have a sample which contains 12.3% ethanol by weight.
