Default help me in designing a simple experiment

I'm planning to create a 1 M of 500Ml H2SO4. here is the details:
It has 98,08 g/mol and 1 l = 1,8 kg.
So, what are the procedures in making it? Should I just calculate using M1.V1 = M2.V2, get the results and add water? I need accurate one since it will be used by my relatives. Thanks.
