Thanks. The problem does ask for two equations and the equation in question is the Mg + O2 ---->MgO2.....i put the O2 there cause I thought the Mg reacted with something in the air after it was heated, but it could possibly be H2 which I had put into the evaporating dish with the Mg.
The equation could either have the H2 or the O2....I am unsure of either.
