Chemicals that change color with magnetism or electricity?
I was curious are there any chemicals that change color based on being exposed to magnetism or electricity?
|
Electricity can cause a chemical reaction to occur therefore its quite common that color will change. For example electrolysis of CuCl2 solution will lead to red metal Cu at the cathode and green-yellow gas Cl2 at the anode.
I believe that some time ago I've heard about a substance which changes color when exposed to a magnetic filed but cannot recall what it was. |
