help me in designing a simple experiment

I'm planning to create a 1 M of 500Ml H2SO4. here is the details:
It has 98,08 g/mol and 1 l = 1,8 kg.
So, what are the procedures in making it? Should I just calculate using M1.V1 = M2.V2, get the results and add water? I need accurate one since it will be used by my relatives. Thanks. :)

you know the density: 1,8 kg / L

convert the 1,8 kg to mol to get to molarity. Then you can use your formula.

Edit: Note that you add the acid to the water and not the water to the acid.

so I put the acid into a beaker and I add water and bingo! It's done?? that's very simple. :D

security warning

Be careful!
In water/ conc. sulphuric acid mixing you must add the acid into the water, slowly and mixing continuosly, verifying the temperature(exothermic solubilization).

Now you have two different opinions. Good luck!

Okay....I'm confused now. Which statement is actually true?? Okay, so I'm making H2SO4. So, SHOULD I add water into the acid?? OR I add acid into the water???

well in dutch there is an easy sentence to remember this. Translated it looks like:

water added to acid yields fire. acid added to water comes later.

--> so you should add the acid to the water. (i see i was sleeping in my first post  )
