reaction rates

hellooo!! i google most of my chemistry issues- im a novice at chemistry and still looking for a tutor, but in my latest practical im stumped about the difference between the rate constant and the apparent rate constant. i never came across an "adjusment factor" before and i have no idea how to work out K(subscript) p

please if anyone could tell me its significance and how to work it out from my experimentalvalues.

cheers
