Conversion of Chloride to total chlorine

I am Asees , Doing research in water purification methods.
Can I convert total chloride value in a sample to chlorine.
eg Total Chloride content of a sample = 1.32ppm
Then what will the value of Total Chlorine in that sample

Well, it would be an oxidation of the chloride ions making them into net neutral chlorine molecules.

There is probably some technology that could oxidize the chloride into chlorine gas. So probably, but I don't know.

I don't understand. You could determine how many moles of chlorine gas could be made per liter of water, and you could probably determine what partial pressure of the atmosphere will be caused by chlorine gas...what are you asking?
