Where do you find s- and p- electrons on the periodic table if they are even on there i am totally lost on my chemistry homework. because i need to draw Lewis Structures and cant figure out that first step.

's' lectrons groups 1 and 2
2 x s plus 'p' electrons groups 3 through to 8 (0)

All atoms have s-electrons. Unless their completely ionized.
