Ionic compounds and molecular compounds

Could someone please tell me how a molecular compound is created.
what is the difference between a molecular compound and an ionic compound i know an ionic compound has a charge but how do molecules bond if they don't have a charge like in molecular compounds?
And could you please tell me all the stuff i need to know about compounds for a begginer

thanks.

Re: Ionic compounds and molecular compounds

Before giving my reply I would like to know whether you are referring to molecules or about molecular solids when you talk about "molecular compounds". Do you wonder how oxygen and hydrogen stick together within water molecules (or the carbon and hydrogen atoms within benzene molecules etc. etc.), or how the molecules bond between each other when ice forms (or benzene crystallises etc.)?
