CuCl2

The formation of CuCl2 aqu. from CuSO4 aqu. and NaCl aqu. is endotherm or exotherm reaction and why.

It will be neither exo nor endo thermic as all of the ions are already present hydrated in the original solutions - effectively there is no reaction- just a mixture of two ions being added to a mixture of two other ions making a mixture of four ions. There will be no interction between any of the ions while in solution.

All products are soluble all reactants are soluble therefore there is no reaction unless the conditions are changed to make one substance crystallise out i.e. perform the reaction at an overall volume below the critical solubility of CuCl2
